Ayanna Dean
Administrative Coordinator
In West Philadelphia born and (mostly) raised. In the community of Mantua is where I spent most of my days. Chillin’ out, maxin, relaxin’ all cool. In the city you can always find something to do! The City of Brotherly Love is like no other. I got my passion for community service from my mother. She instilled great values in me from the start. Everything I do comes from the heart. Rhyming isn’t really my forte so from here on I will simply say what I have to say.
My name is Ayanna Dean and I am a proud West Philadelphia native. I believe the city of Philadelphia is a great place to live, work and explore. There is a lot of culture, history, wonderful people to meet and places to visit. I am thrilled to join the Centennial Parkside organization because I truly believe in the mission and am dedicated to seeing it through.
I received a BA in Criminology/Criminal Justice and Certificate in African American studies from the University of Maryland in College Park. I have worked in the fields of education, healthcare and office management. In my spare time, I volunteer with community organizations so that I can help create the changes I want to see in the world.
I am honored to work with the amazing and caring people in this organization. Every journey starts with a single step and I know there are many great things ahead of us!
“Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can.”
